General Things To Do

• Lots of prayer and fasting. Involve family members, ministers and the quorum presidency. 

• LinkedIn - update profile, connect with other people, let your network know you're looking, ask to connect with people at specific companies or industries you are targeting. Most people are willing to help connect you with their contacts if they know you are looking. 

• Ward and Stake networking - opportunity to share with those in the quorum that you're looking for work. The more eyes open the better. Plus, having a name referral yields much better results. We can also do this anonymously if that is of interest/preference.

• Take new contacts out to lunch or see if they are willing to spend 20 - 30 minutes to talk. Developing these networks may not yield immediate results, but will definitely help in the long-term. 

The Process - digging deeper

• Dig into the why - Is there a challenge getting an interview? Is it getting a second interview? Job offer? Understanding this might give clues where to focus some time and attention or where the quorum presidency or other resources can help.  

• Social Presence - Are resumes, profiles, etc. up to date and in line with what you want to convey. What are your strengths? What can you offer? What is your personal brand? Some people have multiple resumes and cover letters if they are applying to multiple types of jobs or multiple industries.
